Who are Artists Limited?

Artists is a limited company based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. The founders are all actively involved in the arts either as suppliers to the art world or are artists.

What is the website for?

The website was designed to fill a perceived gap in the market for a single community based website which would cater for the requirements of UK based artists.

The site was launched in October 2007 and is composed of several sections:

Firstly, an information source of art related articles written by a number of correspondents.

Secondly, a place where artists can advertise and discuss their work.

Thirdly, an Art Superstore where you can purchase just about anything that is art related.

How much is it to join?

Membership of the site is free.

By joining Artists you can take advantage of all the facilities we offer (not just a subset).

So display your work, express your opinions and contribute to the discussions.

Who's paying for it then?

The service is not funded by any external agency - it is self funded through sales of products in the shop and in the future it is currently envisaged that the site will carry banner advertising.

The start up costs were met entirely by the company founders.

Could I contribute articles to the site?

I should say so!

Contributions would be extremely welcome at any time please contact us via the contact mechanism and one of the editorial board will get in touch with you to discuss it.

What about my IPR?

If you submit your work or article for publication, regardless of whether or not it is published, Artists Ltd will make no claim whatsoever on the IPR or copyright of your contributions and will not make use of your work other than on media related to www.artists.ltd.uk or in the promotion of the site.
